Twins of faith 2012 was a good turning point for me, so i'm looking forward to attending this event this year. and in fact i'm planning to volunteer this time, insyaAllah :) 

talking about friends

It does no justice to compare your best friends that you've known for 5 years with acquaintances that you've mingled around for just two months. You expect life to be fair, but in reality, you cant even be fair to yourself . It is just foolish to do that, isn't it?

Because as time goes by, i believe those acquaintances will be our new best friends.

Scouting 101 

*this post is all about scouting and its adventures so if you are not interested so better don't read it because you might get bored k thanks :)

 Basically we have to build 14 gadgets (that includes our bed, table, pintu gerbang, dapur, tiang bendera etc etc its like building your place and you've to do it all by yourself during Pentarafan).We were working in a group as in the pic above because thats the Pra-pentarafan, (its like spm and Trial spm, and Pra-pentarafan is equal to Trial spm haha i hope you understand but duhhh of course this one's easier than spm.. who am i kidding)

those bamboos are blardeeee heavy i tell you. need to carry at least 30 of them 

saat yang mendebarkan. so after we built the gadget, para pentaraf will check the strength and stability, oh and also the knots. 

Group interview, we were asked about the current issues, so everybody must take part in the discussion because it does matter a lot! oh besides that, there was individual interview too. I was interviewed by two panels, and its a COMPULSORY to memorise all the basic knowledge/ history of scout; Lord Baden Powell, the long name of Agong, basic knowledge about parliament and politics.

16 km expedition during the Pra Pentarafan. Yeap we went hiking with that uniform. actually we did almost everything wearing that uniform, so dear scouts, dont bother to bring any other clothes okay, they re useless haha. Oh and dont confuse this for the 48km expedition; that expedition took 3 days, while the one in the pic took only a day

It's a test, yeapp, written test. objective and subjective questions. (easier than spm thankfully) 

ujian pertolongan cemas- semua automatically jadi miss-know-it-all. semata-mata nak markah tinggi haha. its not easy, but not that hard, just.. okayy

Backwood cooking a.k.a Masakan rimba. this one's pretty tough (as for me T.T )
The thing is, one pentaraf will examine the way we cook and taste the food. thats why i said its a bit tough, hm kalau utk kumpulan sendiri kesah apa aku, haha, because everybody's hungry so i guess we couldnt care less about the taste, well hunger is a good sauce!

oh and one more thing you should know, food is not provided in pra pentarafan & pentarafan, its not like attending a camp where you can just queue in order to get your breakfast/lunch/dinner happily. that means, after you are tired building your gadgets in the hot sunny day, you come to a point when you feel very hungry & need some rest, andddd you realise you have to cook first in order to eat, its like the worst feeling ever. p/s: MAGGI IS NOT ALLOWED. so its a common thing if we only eat chocolates and biscuits to survive. but still, alhamdulillah for that, macam baru sedar perasaan orang kebuluran takde makanan semua mcmana :O

its funny how i still have goosebumps when typing all these things, haha, those scary/exciting moments.
but well, the journey was totally worth it. btw i'm not saying everything's perfect here, like of course, i think in everything we do, there'll always be pros and cons but we must know where to draw the lines and keep reminding ourselves to do what makes Our Creator happy. Yang baik kita ikut, yang buruk kita tinggalkan :)

i miss scouting

although i've decided to stop getting involved actively in scout, it doesnt mean i'll stop exploring,
 because the world is either a daring adventure or nothing.

a lil something 2.0

9 more days till college and i've decided to paint something (stress reliever i guess? lol) i use DR's oil paint as the background and DR's acrylic as the tree. i've read somewhere that it's not a very good idea to mix them together but i believe as long as the paint has dried then its okay (or not..well as long as it looks pretty, i'm cool :D) 

oh as usual, need to improve more on the details, especially around the edges well its very challenging and danjerezz 

Judge judge judge

Let's face it. We judge because we need to feel better about ourselves. I do it too and it annoys me. But we seriously need to train ourselves so that we let God alone be The Ultimate Judge and make sure we don't intervine in the process.

It's a tough command but it's worth trying. InsyaAllah.
