words of the day

'Ramai yang takut untuk yakin diri kerana risau dikatakan berlagak. Ramai yang takut untuk menonjol kerana risau akan riya'. Begitulah permainan syaitan, gagal membawa kita direct dgn ajakan keburukan, mereka akan mematikan kemaraan kita dengan alasan-alasan kebaikan.

Twins Of Faith 2012

(This is gonna be a long post, but please make some time to read it!) :)

Last weekend, (29 & 30 Dec), i went to PICC, Putrajaya to attend this programme. It's an international islamic conference. The speakers and performers came from all over the globe, and everybody gather for the love of God. Alhamdulillah, i've learned so much in these 2 days. I'm gonna combine some of the slots so that this post won't be too long

29/12/12- Saturday

What Is Love? & Give a Little Love- Sh Daood (Canada) & Abdul Rahman Chao (US)
Sh Daood said, when you love someone, you'll know everything about them. Then, he asked everybody to stand up, and whoever that actually know 99 names of Allah can sit. I didn't sit because i don't actually know the meaning of Asmaul Husna though I memorize the nasheed. I feel bad for myself. Do we really know Allah? It's time to know about Him, so that we can love Him better!

"If we love someone or something, we know in and out about them, but how much do we know about our Creator?"
-Sh Daood-

Whenever we make mistakes, know that it's not the end of the world, know that Allah wants to forgive you, know that you can change! The 'thing' that we love is what we always tend to do without being told. For example, when we are performing our salahs 5 times a day / fasting in Ramadhan, instead of saying 'Oh, i have to do that because i'm a Muslim', we should say 'I want to do that because i'm a Muslim'. We must try to find pleasure while being obedient to Allah, so we'll always look forward to know Him. If we really love Allah, show it because real love should be demonstrated and not to be kept in the pocket. And then Sh Daood came up with a hadeeth that was narrated by Abu Hurairah.

"“When Allah loves a person, He calls Jibreel and says: ‘I love So and so, so love him.’ So Jibreel loves him, then he calls out to the people of heaven, ‘Allah loves So and so, so love him.’ So the people of heaven love him and he finds acceptance on earth. If Allah hates someone, He calls Jibreel and says: ‘I hate So and so, so hate him.’ So Jibreel hates him, then he calls out to the people of heaven: ‘Allaah hates So and so, so hate him.’ So they hate him and he is hated on earth.”

As a conclusion, when you show love, love will come back to you. When you show rahmah (mercy) to other people, Allah will show rahmah to you. It's as simple as that. Abdul Rahman Chao said when you show love to humans, you are renewing hope in humanity. He also remind people to go to the mosque more often; Mosque is not a club for perfectionist/ people who's good/ religious people only, it is big enough for sinners who want to seek Allah's forgiveness.

When you walk to Allah, Allah will run to you - Hadeeth

Where Is Your Home? & Laying Your Foundations- Sh Daood & Abdul Rahman Chao

He said every single thing that existed in Dunya is a test; the invention of facebook, twitter, smartphone or anything else, they are actually a form of test from Allah s.w.t. So it's up to us to use them for Halal or Haram. When we are tested, that is when we become better. And when you say you cannot bear Allah's test, YOU ARE LYING! Allah knows His slaves better. So whenever we feel week and want to give up with life, make dua to Allah so that He give us strength. All we have to do is just ask; speak to Allah. The worst thing we'd do is that we stop asking Him. Don't lose faith dear brothers and sisters! :)

When Allah loves you, He will test you and give you that opportunity to excel

Later, Sh Daood asked us to stand up (he loves doing this though!) and he said, "How many times your parents change your diapers? How much money have they spent on you? How many sleepless night they had when you are ill? And how many times your parents said I love you and you told them, have a nice day, Assalamualaikum? How many times we look at our parents with happiness, and how many times we look at our parents with anger?" Wallahi, at this particular moment, majority of people in the hall were crying. Sometimes we forgot to show love to the people who love us the most. Sh Daood wouldn't let us sit unless we've sent 'i love you' text message to our parents. And i did! alhamdulillah. Must do this more often :)

He also said that many people nowadays have so many knowledge about so many things but they're lack of the knowledge on how to correct others' mistakes, they're lack of the knowledge to have manners, that's why many people failed when doing da'wah. The ultimate aim of doing da'wah is not to win argument but to win hearts.

"So much time and effort is wasted studying a university book which 99% of it is never used afterwards anyway."
-Abdul Rahman Chao-

And because of this statement above, we have to try our best to balance things that we learn. Learn Islam as hard as we learn those hard subjects in school/ university. Most of our time is wasted for the sake of a certificate. this is true though =/

1% Now, 99% to Come - Sh Omar Suleiman

"Allah's mercy is divided to 100 parts, only 1% is showed to us in this Dunya, the other 99% is reserved for the Day"
-Hadeeth-

This slot is mainly about Allah's mercy. We can't enter Jannah by our good deeds, the fact that our sins are more than the good deeds. We can enter Jannah by Allah's mercy. On the Judgement day, we are dealing with Allah's mercy and not Allah's justice. Think about it, if we are going to deal with Allah's justice...... i may not have the chance to enter Jannah :'(

For the sins you made, He covers them up with your voluntary deeds. He patches up, makes excuses for you because He wants to forgive you. The ultimate reason Allah creates us is to be in Jannah with Him and our life is worthless, if we are not there in Jannah. MasyaAllah, have you ever seen a boss making excuse for his workers who make mistakes? Allah cares for us so much that He gives us the opportunity to make taubah. He forgives and forgets! Allah is so kind to us but we can't even do the things that He told us to :(

3 personalities of people who won't get Allah's mercy

1. The one that despair Allah's mercy (that is Syaitaan)

2. The one who always blame others (and doesn't make change for himself)
Don't blame anybody but yourself. Don't blame Shaitaan but blame yourself

3. The one who knew their potential but procrastinate
Hurry up! You know you could do better! Stop procrastinating!

THIS is the time. This is the youth and energy you will not get back. THIS is when you serve Allah swt. On the Judgement day, Allah will ask us,

"Oh my slave, what did you do with your youth?"

So lets prepare ourselves, friends!

A Day In Paradise (my favourite slot!) - Sh Tawfique Chowdhury

This slot really amazed me, the Paradise is waaaaaay beyond my imagination! let me share some amazing facts:
-In Paradise, we can ask everything we want till we have nothing else to ask for.
-The women in paradise will pregnant for only an hour (Subhanallah, amazing right? o.o)
-We can choose what age is our child.
- As you enter Jannah, all the Angels will give salaam and smile. (The smile will cause huge lightning)

A Friday In Jannah
Everybody in paradise will gather in one level. That means, we can meet Rasulullah s.a.w and sahabats, those famous people that we often hear and read about! MasyaAllah. After that, an angel will call us and say 'It is your time already'. Time for what?, you may ask. It's the time to meet Allah, to meet our Creator. One to one. To see His face, to talk to Him. That's the greatest thing ever!

At this moment, everybody was in 'whoaaaaa' state.

Last slot, by Abdurraheem green

"Keep reminding yourself about the Hereafter"

We must constantly remind ourselves because it's in human nature; that we are forgetful. Therefore we should help each other in reaching Allah's Jannah. The only difference between us and sahabats is their level of ikhlas. They sacrifice everything for the sake of Allah! Where's out effort? Where's our sacrifice? And last but not least, hide our good deeds just like we hide our sins. And when you think too much about what other people are going to say, then you love this Dunya too much! It' s not just the action, its WHY you're doing it; to impress people or for the sake of Allah? So many wise words from him. and i gotta adore his spirit while he delivers the speech!

Thanks to Allah for giving me this golden opportunity to join this programme. Lots of new things i've gained. It was indeed a life changing event! I hope all this knowledge will stay fresh and may Allah give us strength to walk the things that we've listen.

p/s: did you know that 75% of Muslim converts leaves Islam? It's our responsibility to help the new sisters and brothers to learn more about Islam. you can donate here, or volunteer here!

It is indeed a beautiful song:

Every sinner has a future and every righteous person has a past , Allah does not judge you on how bad you have been in the past, rather he looks at on how good you strive to be now

And you've such a beautiful soul because you've finished reading this post. Hope we can meet on that precious Friday in Jannah. Let's work hard for that brothers and sisters! Assalamualaikum xx
